Barry was very sick when we found him, and he needed urgent surgery to remove a tumor. He’s now recovering beautifully, taking his meds like a champ, and eating like a king. With love, patience, and plenty of food, he’s starting to show his sweet side – the scared, angry cat we met is slowly becoming a gentle, loving boy.
Barry has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but he’s otherwise healthy, and with proper care, he can live a long and happy life. His tests and age estimates vary (some say 6, others up to 13), but one thing is certain: Barry’s spirit is strong, and he’s ready for a new beginning.
This handsome guy is still learning to trust, but every day he’s growing more relaxed and open. He’s proof that even the most guarded hearts can heal with a little love.
